Berkeley Benefice Songs of Praise
This evening at 6pm
at St Michael's, Hill

Come and join together with the congregations of Berkeley, Hill and Stone for an evening of your favourite hymns. Light refreshments served afterwards.

Work Party and Barbecue
Saturday 11th July
The fence at the former Breadstone Church site needs YOU! It needs quite a bit of tlc in the form of  removing vegetation, preparing and painting. Can you help?
Saturday 11th July, 10am until 1pm.
Then bbq at Marlpool Farm Breadstone.
Bring your own tools and gloves etc.(fence covered in ivy / flaking paint)
Free lunch for workers, £2.50 charge for adults £1.50 for children who just want lunch, to cover costs. Home produced liquid refreshments will also be available, or bring your own bottle! Please let Jenny or David Frith know if you're coming!

Maxwell visit

Peter and Mary Maxwell are back from New Zealand in July to attend Matthew's graduation and are coming to Berkeley for a visit.  John and Jean Stanton are offering the venue for a picnic on Saturday the 18th of July at Canon House for Benefice friends who would like to say hi. Bring your pack lunch and rug (and umbrella?) and come between 12 and 3pm.

Organist's 25th Anniversary

On Saturday 4th July David Atkinson will celebrate 25 years as organist of St Mary's, Berkeley. To mark this special achievement there will be a musical evening at St Mary's Church, including organ music performed by David and some fellow organists.

at the home of Jane Fisher, 16 Hillcrest, Berkeley 

Tuesday 23rd June from 10.30 to 11.30am

Come along for a drink and meet other people for a  chat in friendly company.

Pentecost Praise

The 'Churches together in Berkeley' service with the Painswick Beacon Gospel Choir raised £50 for World Vision.

BIG DAY – 4th July 2009 Gloucester

From 10.00am on Saturday July 4th children and families from Berkeley have been invited to join hundreds of others from across the Diocese in The Park in Gloucester. Gather near the Robert Raikes statue, then at 10.30am we will be joined by clowns, marching bands and 3 bishops to lead us through the city to the cathedral. At the cathedral we will be met at 11.00am by The Psalm Drummers and their incredible music. They will give a concert which will get us in the mood to dance, to sing, to change the world!
THEN from 11.45am all the workshops and other activities will begin.
